Say what?

Who comes up with a name like this? An over-descriptive settler from long ago or a misguided contractor from the present?

Basketball Jones Flair

Flair to make you ball harder. The Phyllis Wheatley Center in East Knoxville (124 S. Cruze st.) is home to this beautiful looking court.

Gray Hodges Update

A few months ago we wondered what was going on at our favorite neighborhood plumbing supply store when they took down all their old signage. It turns out they were just prepping for a nice new upgrade. Check out the spiffed up facade of their showroom building on Winona - Diamond Flair!

This is just one of their four building, all of which got fresh new coats of paint.

The new look brought attention to a fact we'd previously overlooked on their signs; Gray Hodges is an employee-owned business. Good stuff.

Gild It

There's been lots of activity on and around this street corner lately.

Knox Flair

Archived Flair on display at Steamboat Restaurant

These pictures of pictures came from the Steamboat sandwich shop on Market Square. Thanks Steamboat!

Who needs a biscuit?

If it weren't for the Andrew Jackson Hotel looming in solitude in the background, a resident of Knoxville might mistake this for a current view of the Henley Street Bridge.
